I am an Integrative Counsellor in private practice. I am an Accredited Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Registered MBACP Accred). I adhere to the body’s ethical framework for good practice.
I have the experience of working within an integrative theoretical approach in my counselling work, incorporating a blend of the theoretical background and skills of the main counselling modalities; Humanistic, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural therapy. In addition, I can provide an Islamic Counselling approach encompassing not only the physical, psychological and social but also the often disregard to the spiritual element of an individual. The theoretical approach is applied to suit the best needs of the client.

I am an Integrative Counsellor in private practice; I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Registered MBACP). I adhere to the body’s ethical framework for good practice.
I initially started my career as a Psychiatric Nurse, which inspired me to embark on a career in Counselling. In 2002 I qualified as a Person-Centred Counsellor on an accredited course. I provide an Integrative approach amalgamating Person Centred Therapy, Transactional analysis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic and Spiritual Counselling. My inspiration relating to the theory applied arises from the interaction with the client; enabling the client to explore their feelings and emotions in a safe, confidential and therapeutic way.
Counselling is often an emotional journey, which is at times upsetting for many, but if we have the courage to embrace our vulnerabilities and face our fears it can liberate us in ways we could never imagine. Counselling is a talking therapy which helps us to deal with many difficult issues and conditions allowing us to become more resilient & reflective. If we can define who we are and what we need through counselling then we are on our way to fulfilling our true potential.
I have many years experience of working with families, individuals and couples, who have allowed me to support them through an emotional yet liberating journey to become more resilient and lead a more fulfilling life.
